Finishing Cell Reports to Area Supervisor

Job Purpose: Grinds excess metal form casting and inspects part for defects. Follows PPE and safety requirements. Aware of company quality and environmental policy.
Duties and Responsibilities: Remove excess metal from casting and pneumatic and hand tools; Check parts for air tightness by using an automatic pressure tester to check parts; Inspects inside and outside of casting for defects and sand; Complete paperwork for position; Load parts into shipping containers; Keep work area clean; Aware of consequences to employees, customers and environment if procedures are not followed; All other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
Required: High School diploma or GED or prior experience/training in manufacturing environment; Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws, policies, and rules. Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined by company. Must be regularly available to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. Must be available and willing to work such overtime as is necessary or desirable to meet business needs. Must be able to stand, bend and stoop. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance, color, peripheral vision and depth perception.
