Clinical Supervisor at Community Counseling Center of Ashtabula County in Ashtabula, Ohio
Community Counseling Center of Ashtabula County has an immediate, full-time position available for a SUPERVISOR whose responsibilities include the planning, monitoring and supervision of staff and services to assure compliance with the policies and procedures of the agency and to insure that the services delivered are appropriate and effective.
REPORTS TO: Chief Clinical Officer
SUBORDINATES: Therapists, CPST Workers, Coordinators
STATUS: Exempt from over-time
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The position requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited university. LISW or LPCC at minimum. LPCC-S or LISW-S preferred. Additional licensure – LICDC, preferred but not required. The position requires a valid driver’s license, driving infractions within the last three (3) years subject to the Corporation Handbook and no DUI, drug, theft or felony charges in the past; reliable transportation; and adequate levels of insurance and insurability.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Prior mental health counseling experience is required. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
WORKING SCHEDULE: Dictated by client and corporation need but based a 40 hour work week. 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Mon. – Fri. is standard, however, one evening per week is required at a minimum.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: The Supervisor is required to have the following skills with a general client population: clinical interview methods; individual, family, and group counseling methods; knowledge and techniques for facilitating personality/behavior change; capacity for collecting, organizing, and reporting data in order to reach valid clinical conclusions; ability to develop and implement Individual Service Plans; skills in crisis intervention and emergency services; specialized knowledge of the mental health field; knowledge of the implementation of current applicable diagnostic standards; the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; the ability to establish and maintain clinically effective relationships with clients and significant others; the ability to function as part of an organization by working with others and by adhering to established policies and procedures. This position requires training in First Aid, CPR and De-escalation techniques.
