Access Coordinator at Community Counseling Center of Ashtabula County in Ashtabula, Ohio
Community Counseling Center of Ashtabula County has an immediate, full-time position available for an Access Coordinator who is responsible for facilitating the service coordination of referents to the Connection Center Program. This staff member will establish networks of supports and services within the program and help clients of the program to negotiate the County’s probation, health and human services systems. This position will initiate and maintain communications with those involved in providing services to individuals, and will monitor and report appropriate outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related helping profession required; Master’s degree preferred.
This position requires the ability to write and speak effectively in both small and large group settings; the ability to work independently and cooperatively while promoting positive internal and external customer relations and building strong partnerships within the community; and the ability to establish and maintain effective, interpersonal relationships with clients and significant others. Successful candidates should have knowledge of resources available within the community; demonstrated ability to coordinate, facilitate, and direct groups of people in order to reach consensus and forge alliances among divergent groups; and the ability to function as part of an organization by working with others and adhering to established policies and procedures. This position requires proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office and email, as well as training in First Aid, CPR and De-escalation techniques.
The position requires a valid driver’s license, driving infractions within the last three (3) years subject to the Corporation Handbook, and no DUI, drug, theft, or felony charges in the past. Must have reliable transportation and adequate levels of insurance.
